Scuba Diving Instructor Course

KERRY COLLEGE ran a NEW Scuba Diving Instructor programme this year, which started in August. It is now in full swing and is running at full capacity.

This programme is the only PADI Scuba Diving Instructor programme run by an ETB provider in Ireland. There are no application fees, no tuition fees, no examination fees, and no certification fees.

This full-time course includes modules such as Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Instructor Development, PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Dive Master, and more. It is currently being run in Waterworld in The Maherees, Castlegregory, via KERRY COLLEGE KILLORGLIN CAMPUS.

Course co-ordinator Brian O’ Flaherty said he enjoys teaching this 41-week course in the beautiful surroundings of The Maharees. “This is a fantastic new course for KERRY COLLEGE, especially at a time when so many people are re-connecting with the outdoors environment.”

Kerry College Admissions Officer, Niamh O’ Donovan said, “There was an overwhelming amount of interest in this course. Participation in water-based sports is on the increase in Ireland which has led to an increase in the demand for highly skilled and qualified Scuba Diving Instructors. Graduates from this course can be employed in Scuba Schools or Water Activity Centres on our coastline or abroad.”

The 2022 intake for this course has yet to be scheduled, but it is advised to apply as early as possible once it is. It will be announced on our Social Media accounts so make sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
