Kerry College Admissions Office is open to the public for the first time since the pandemic began.

LEVEL 5 RESTRICTIONS

Due to the current Level 5 COVID restrictions, Kerry College wishes to communicate the following:

In line with the Level 5 Restrictions on the Plan for Living with COVID-19 all Kerry ETB Further Education and Training (FET) Programmes are moving to online delivery with immediate effect. Your College/Centre management will be contacting you directly re arrangements for online provision at this time.

UPDATE: 25 SEPTEMBER, 6PM

Kerry College to continue on-campus activities from Monday

Kerry College would like to clarify that, as a provider of Further Education and Training (FET), the college is excluded from the request of NPHET to move all learning online for the next two weeks.

Although Higher Education institutions will move to online learning from Monday next, this does not apply to FET institutions like Kerry College.

Campus activities will resume as normal on Monday morning and continue until further notice.

UPDATE: 27 AUGUST, 12 NOON

KERRY COLLEGE OF FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING (Kerry College) has confirmed a start date for its courses for third level progression of Monday, 21st September.

The college has also clarified details about the learner experience in September.

Kerry College is planning for smaller, socially distanced class sizes with learners on-campus every week for full direct delivery.

UPDATE: 18 AUGUST, 9AM

KERRY COLLEGE OF FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING (Kerry College) has confirmed a start date for its employment-focused courses of Monday, 31st August.

A wide range of employment-focused courses are due to start in the coming months. Applications are open and recruitment interviews have already commenced.

Kerry College is planning for smaller, socially distanced class sizes with learners on-campus every week for full direct delivery.

On Government advice,  all classes are postponed until further notice – subject to review. Our campus locations and Admissions Office remain closed.

SAFE PASS RENEWAL NOTICE
In response to the Covid-19 emergency, contingency measures are now in place for expired Safe Pass cards which cannot be renewed. These cards will be deemed valid until further notice.

*** ATTENTION: APPLICANTS FOR IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN COURSE ***
CompTIA has made their IT Fundamentals online course free only for the month of April. This is recommended study for those who wish to complete the CompTIA+ certification which is featured on our upcoming IT Support Technician course.

Providing evidence at the recruitment interview that applicants have completed this online course would be an advantage.

UPDATE: 1 APRIL, 10AM

NEW ONLINE COURSE IN INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
Kerry College will offer an online course in Infection Prevention & Control in April. This is a QQI Level 5 certification that is suitable for healthcare workers who wish to upskill, employees from non-healthcare sectors, and members of the general public who feel this would be an important skillset to have. Participants have 2 weeks to complete the module and do assessments. Sign up here.

Despite the uncertainly around course start dates and when we’ll all be able to return to normal, our Admissions Team is working remotely and available for queries. Students and Apprentices at our Monavalley Campus will continue to receive their full basic pay for the duration of the COVID-19 closure. Make sure you stay in touch with your instructor/trainer and address any coursework related queries to them. For any other queries, email: [email protected]

UPDATE: 24 MARCH, 4PM

The COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment is increased from €203 per week to €350 per week. It is available to all employees and the self-employed who have lost their job due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

The payment also applies to students (and non-EU/EEA students) who have lost employment due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

The COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment will be in place for 12 weeks.

If you have been temporarily placed on a shorter working week, you may qualify for Short Time Work Support.
