Kerry College Registration 24/25

Congratulations on securing your course at Kerry College of Further Education & Training. Your registration is scheduled to take place during the week of 2nd September 2024 and you will be contacted individually with your specific registration date and time. Registration week is a busy period for our new learners and we want to ensure you are prepared and organised in advance. Please review the following checklist to ensure you have the necessary items and are ready for your course registration.

FETCH COURSES APPLICATION DETAILS

The Admissions Team will make sure that your FETCH account is up to date, verify your ID and take a picture for your Learner ID Card. It is essential you have:  

  • Photo I.D. (Government Services Card, Driving License or Passport – must be in date).
    AND
  • UPDATED FETCH account details – Fully up to date information including emergency contact details.

LEARNING SUPPORTS

If you require learning supports, please bring the necessary documentation to the Kerry College Learner Support Team.

LAPTOP LOAN SCHEME

Learners who wish to apply for a laptop loan for the duration of the course can do so during registration. Please note that applying does not guarantee that your application will be successful.

FINANCIAL SUPPORTS

By now, you should be in the process of organising your financial supports. You do not need to be in receipt of a financial support to attend our courses. Kerry College learners can access only one of the following options:

  • SUSI Grant – Apply via www.susi.ie
  • Back to Education Allowance – Arrange through the Department of Social Protection 
  • Learner Allowance – if you are in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment and wish to apply for a Learner Allowance you need to request a F103 form by clicking on the link below. The F103 form has to be completed and stamped at your local INTREO or Department of Social Protection office and bring this completed form to registration.
    • Request F103 form
    • Proof of bank details – a copy of the top of your bank statement or a screenshot from your online banking app will suffice. Only learners who are applying for a Learner Payments need to submit this information.

GARDA VETTING

For certain courses, learners are required to undergo Garda vetting. See list below for Garda Vetted Courses. If your course requires Garda vetting, you are required to:

  • Bring 100 points of ID as per the “100 Points Checklist”.
  • A parent/guardian if you are under 18.* If you would like your Garda vetting form posted to you, please contact us. Alternatively, you can collect it from our offices in Tralee or Killarney.
