Kerry ETB Wins Talent and Skills Competition At Irish Wind Energy Awards
The Wind Energy Awards took place in Killashee Hotel on Friday the 10th of March. The purpose of the awards night was to highlight the very best in the Irish wind industry and to honour the individuals, organisations and companies who are demonstrating excellence in their chosen fields and shaping the future of renewable energy in Ireland.
Nominees were put forward by WEI members and non-members and winners were selected by an independent judging panel, Chaired by John McCann, Programme Manager, Research & Technology, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).
Ten awards were presented and Kerry ETB won the Talent & Skills Development Award. This was a huge recognition to Kerry Education and Training Board who are the only provider of the Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship in the whole country. Well done to all involved!
