In response to the Covid-19 emergency, contingency measures are now in place for expired Safe Pass cards which cannot be renewed. These cards will be deemed valid until further notice.

CompTIA have made their IT Fundamentals online course free only for the month of April. This is recommended study for those who wish to complete the CompTIA+ certification which is featured on our upcoming IT Support Technician course.
Providing evidence at recruitment interview that applicants have completed this online course would be an advantage.

NEW ONLINE COURSE IN INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
Kerry College will offer an online course in Infection Prevention & Control in April. This is a QQI Level 5 certification which is suitable for healthcare workers who wish to upskill, employees from non-healthcare sectors and members of the general public who feel this would be an important skillset to have. Participants have 2 weeks to complete the module and do assessments. Sign up here.

Following An Taoiseach’s announcement today, all classes are postponed until at least 19 April 2020 – subject to review. All campus locations and our Admissions Office are to remain closed.
Students, apprentices and staff are asked to keep an eye on this page and to check their official Kerry College all-staff and student email and/or the email they used to register for the course as important course and closure related updates will be sent to these emails.
Kerry ETB and Kerry College are continuing to monitor the situation and will keep you informed of developments as they happen.
UPDATE: 24 MARCH, 4PM
The COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment has been been increased from €203 per week to €350 per week. It is available to all employees and the self-employed who have lost their job due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
The payment also applies to students (and non-EU/EEA students) who have lost employment due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
The COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment will be in place for 12 weeks.
If you have been temporarily placed on a shorter working week, you may qualify for Short Time Work Support.

Following Government advice on the Coronavirus, Kerry College of Further Education and Training is closed to staff, students, apprentices and the general public until 19th April 2020 - subject to review.
