Course Overview
This practical course helps current and aspiring managers understand the principles and processes of maintaining discipline in the workplace. Learners explore fair and lawful disciplinary procedures, the manager’s role in promoting good conduct, and how to deal with issues such as misconduct or poor performance effectively and consistently.
Ideal for supervisors, team leaders, and managers, this module strengthens your ability to apply organisational policies in line with best practice and employment legislation, helping to create a fair, transparent, and productive work environment.
This course is due to run Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
What are the entry requirements?
- Applicants must be at least 18 years
- Must have achieved a minimum of a NFQ level 5 major award or its equivalent prior to entry to the programme, or have achieved the relevant skills, knowledge and competences through work experience.
- Good verbal and written command of the English language (Common European Framework B2 or equivalent)
- Participation Selection Criteria As per ETB Operating Guidelines and Skills to Advance Route 3 Criteria. Nominated participants must meet the criteria outlined in the Target Participant Profile
- Non EU/EEA applicants must have permission to work in Ireland
